Download and install
A USB stick and a few minutes are enough. If you already use Linux, you can switch with one command.
Requirements
What you need
- A 64-bit (amd64) processor
- At least 2 GB of memory (4 GB is comfortable)
- An empty USB stick for the ISO
- An internet connection (for the download)
Install
Ready in three steps
Download
Get the ISO file and its verification file from the releases page.
Write it to a USB stick
Write the ISO to an empty USB stick with a free tool such as BalenaEtcher or Rufus.
Boot and install
Start the computer from the USB stick. The installer runs step by step and the system restarts at the end.
Command line
If you prefer the terminal
gh release download --repo Ankora-Linux/Ankora \
--pattern '*.iso*'
sha256sum -c *.iso.sha256
lsblk -d -o NAME,SIZE,MODEL
sudo dd if=ankora-linux.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress conv=fsync
Careful
Check the /dev/sdX path yourself. If you pick the wrong drive, the contents of that disk are erased.
