Security
Ankora Linux protects you from programs that act without you knowing. Here is what that means, in plain language.
Three core protections
What does this mean for you?
Programs cannot act on their own
Apps run only the operations they are allowed to. Anything else is refused.
Updates are verified
Every update is checked while it downloads. If it is broken, it will not install.
Your personal files are protected
System files, passwords and secret keys cannot be read by apps.
Technical note
What happens behind the scenes?
- The terminal runs only a fixed set of commands.
- Passwordless administrator access is given only to a few helper scripts.
- Network requests go only to Ankora storage addresses.
